Successful business strategy could be set only on the basis of continual external and internal environment monitoring, precise information interpretation and qualified using of information. This section discusses chosen aspects of external resources of information and especially their impact on the business decision-making process and on the internal knowledge networks. It summarises also manager's methods based on using external sources of information and limitation factors of effective using external information sources.
The KM topic is complemented by the issues of document management: In this modern world, aiming at higher rate of integration, it is not sufficient anymore to save documents only in the print form, but the possibility to save them in electronic format is in great demand. It brings faster and easier access to all information. Many companies have recently loaded successfully some of the Document Management Systems thanks to which they can preserve not only physical documents (photos, books, CD,..), but e-documents as well.

For limited capacity reasons, the first part of the INFORUM social evening - the INFOCONCERT - is intended only for invited VIP guests, speakers, INFORUM 2003 Award recipients and exhibitors.
The INFORUM 2003 Awards will be announced at the INFOCONCERT. The spirit of the evening will be shaped by the Karmina ensemble which concentrates on the interpretation of old Czech folk songs and music of Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque periods - both secular and sacred.
