Abstract:

The conference paper tries to describe a possible way for making accessible and archiving documents in a modern information institution - museum, gallery, archive, library etc. The most of these institutions possess their own valuable collections, to which end users have a very limited access. The best way, how to make the collections closer, is digitalisation and accesing on the WWW. In the first stages of this process, cheaper and simple software solutions prove good. According to development of the digital colletion, the institions have to consider more advanced solutions with the accent to robust systems. The final stage is protection of collections for future - process of archiving. We can offer solutions for all the three stages. We will introduce Nessos, DigiTool and Digital Preservation System.
