The Bologna process (a joint declaration by Europe's Education Ministers) aims to both standardise and enhance education and research throughout Europe. This should facilitate cross-cultural employment and in turn will enhance the competitiveness of European higher education. Ministers noted that the promotion of interdisciplinarity is a key factor to successfully improving quality: the promotion of the various cultural, social, scientific and technological dimensions should help strengthen stable, peaceful and democratic societies.
Institutions will need to cater to a wider audience and researchers will expect accurate and timely answers to a broader range of topics. However, confronted with such an array of available products, selecting the most appropriate research tools to achieve this can pose a challenge.
One possible solution, therefore, could be the introduction of a single, standardised, comprehensive, multidisciplinary online educational database resource with an intuitive interface- a new gold standard that would become the Central focus of every academic library. This presentation will guide you through how ProQuest currently provides curriculum-based resources to its many European academic customers and why many institutions internationally already consider ProQuest to be the "gold standard" in research.
