Ikaros (an electronic journal about the information society) started as a student activity at the Institute of Information Studies and Librarianship (Faculty of Arts, Charles University in Prague) in early 1997. The first issue was published on 14th April 1997. Since November 2000 Ikaros has been published by Ikaros, o.s. (a civic association). The journal content focuses mainly on librarianship, information science, new trends in information industry and new media.

The editorial staff prepares scholarly articles, reports from conference or interviews with interesting people. Community spirit of the Inflow is supported especially by blogs and photo section where students, staff and graduates of DISLS publish their thoughts and views.
ProInflow is a peer-reviewed journal. It was founded in 2009 by the Division of Information and Library Studies at the Masaryk University in Brno. ProInflow focuses on publishing scientific papers in the area of information science, using the transcdisciplinary concept of this field of study. Each issue of the journal is oriented on a single subject. The subjects cover various areas of information science but overlap into other areas, such as librarianship, information systems, information technology, cognitive sciences, psychology, cybernetics, ethics, philosophy etc.
