Abstract

In spite of increasing popularity and usage of Facebook it is clear that it can't replace a traditional web site of institutions, projects, events etc. at present. On the other hand, a fan page and/or a group, respectively (rather then a facebook profile) can be turned into an effective marketing tool and an information resource. A couple of examples out of the library world will be presented.
