Abstract

Cengage is the publisher of Archives Unbound — a vast resource of topically-focused digital collections of historical documents that support the research and study needs of scholars and students. Specifically developed to address the needs of libraries, Archives Unbound is unique not only for its wide coverage, and multi-use content but also for the distinct new intuitive search platform. Of particular interest are recently published collections covering many aspects of the Cold War and the ex-Soviet Union. See: http://gdc.gale.com/…cts-by-name/

Cengage is also the publisher of Reference titles in eBook format. These 9,000+ titles provide a wide range of benefits. They save shelf space and can be searched individually or as a complete collection. Online access makes popular titles available to multiple users and library users can link to reference content through your OPAC or directly from the Table of Contents or Index pages. There are thousands of full-text eBooks from Gale and our publishing partners, with authoritative references, updated and in electronic format. You get 24/7 access from any Internet-connected computer, with no more damaged pages or missing volumes. ReadSpeaker technology (text-to-speech) allows text to be read aloud to users and downloaded in MP3 format, and the titles are cross-searchable with select periodical databases and Gale Resource Centres. No special reader or hardware is required and there is unlimited simultaneous use, with the ability to print, e-mail and download articles, and on-demand content translation into 11 languages.
