Abstract

Registry of acquisition of electronic information resources (Registry of acquisition EIR) is a tool that, if fully deployed, can faciliate to record all electronic information resources in the country. Users of the public, libraries and management bodies (for example ministries) are able to access the pilot version at http://raeiz.techlib.cz. User groups are distinguished on the basis of registration and assigned user role, the public has access to abridged features without registration. Data about electronic information resources are to the Registry of acquisition EIR taken from SFX, a source of basic information about libraries is an ADR – Libraries & Information Centers in the Czech Republic, which is managed by the National Library of the Czech Republic. Individual modules allow you to search purchased electronic resources on the title level, search in SFX, enter information about the purchasing of electronic resources, track usage statistics or enrich the library records with other necessary information. In the Registry of acquisition EIR are also incorporated tools that support acquisition of electronic resources by central way. Registry of acquisition EIR was created within the project „Efektivní informační služby pro veřejnost a státní správu (reg.č. CZ.1.04/4.1.00/59­.00019)“ (also known as Efective information Service), which was implemented with the support of the European Social Fund in the Czech Republic (ESF) which comes under the Human resources and Employment Operational Programme (HREOP). On the creating of the Registry of acquisition EIR collaborated National Library of Technology with the company „KOMIX“.

Author's professional CV

Bc. Miroslava Sudová graduated in Information and Library Studies at the Institute of Information Studies and Librarianship, Faculty of Arts, Charles University in Prague. Now she works on follow-up master studies in the same field at the Division of Information and Library Studies, Faculty of Arts, Masaryk University in Brno. Within the master's program she collaborated with three colleagues on a project „Autorské právo.knihovna.cz“. Since 2009 she has worked at the National Library of Technology, first as a librarian in the service department, from August 2012 coworks on assurance the purchase of electronic information resources. With this position, among other things, she became coordinator of the team working on the creation of Registry of acquisition of electronic information resources and after it she became an administrator of Registry of acquisition EIR.
