Europeana Cloud: New Solution for Effective Sending and Using Data

Abstract

Platform Europeana Cloud will change the way that data is sent to Europeana, and will give researchers new tools to enrich and use that data. Project coordination is carried out by The European Library and 35 partners all over the Europe are participating in the project including the National Technical Library. This year is the project Europeana Cloud: Unlocking Europe’s Research via The Cloud in its third ending year. In first two years, were collected data for creating new services and tools for researchers, with which they can access, work on and share the content stored in the Cloud. Metadata and data of participating institutions were analyzed and were ensured all administrative and legal documents for creating the Cloud solution.

Author's professional CV

Petra Pejsova graduated in Information science and librarianship at the Charles University in Prague. Currently she works in the National Technical Library, where she manages the National repository of Grey Literature in the Czech Republic. Its goal is a systematic collection, long-term archival and provision of access to specialized grey literature, especially to do with research and development, civil service and education, as well as from the business sphere at the national level. Concurrently, she also devotes other projects related to the accessibility of digital documents and data.
