Abstract

On the present exists in the Internet a large number of medical informations. These resources are unique and more actual than their printed version. In the Czech Republic there are medical resources collected through structural indexes (e.g. the portal Helpnet). The portal Citmed collects and evaluates foreign and czech resources. The professional portal BIOME exists abroad, that comprehends a medical database OMNI. Since 2003 the National Medical Library does bibliographic entry of the free available medical internet resources. It is collected fulltexts and internet textbooks. The acquisition of resources i done through excerption from professional articles, by the help of professionals. The resources are evaluated in the cooperation with the Charles University in Prague - 2nd Faculty of Medicine (the portal Citmed).

Medical resources are catalogued in agreement with enforceable world standards. In this time the databes included cca 850 records of electronic information resources.
