Abstract:

The paper disserts on influence field studies of university IS/IT curriculum to transfer knowledge between academical sphere and commercial practice. Authors describe impress of curriculum rigidity IS/IT specialization to adaptation capabilities of school-leavers. Authors below present recommendation for changes in curriculum projects of IS/IT specialization. Article text shows link between university IS/IT curriculum and knowledge (information) management in company. Authors below give attention to school-leavers preparedness for building and maintenance information and knowledge centres in commercial practice. Text advert to links between information management and others specializations. Authors compare individual theoretic conceptions of curriculum projects and describe their use in education and commercial practise.

About author:

Ing. Tomáš Rain Ph.D. is member Department of Information Technology Czech University of Agriculture in Prague. In 2006 he successfully finished postgraduate studying program “Information management” and published thesis on the theme “Realization of selected economic models in the net economy”. Ing. Tomáš Rain Ph.D. participates in teaching of “Information systems”, “Enterprise information systems”, “Strategy and IS” and “Informatics II”. Except teaching and publishing has author of this article experience in commercial practice. Author was employed in Bull limited, Unicorn Inc., AutoCont CZ Inc., and Stormware limited. In these companies worked author as manager, lector and consultant.
