Abstract

IHS Engineering Resource Centre (ERC) is the largest online repository of Technical Information for the Industry and Academic sectors. This repository provides key information to support the activities of the Engineers including:

  • Worlwide Standards from over 450 organisations
  • Regulations for Aviation, Construction, Petrochemical and Health & Safety sectors
  • Access to Electronics Libraries from Leading Organisations such as:
    • IEEE (Insititute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers)
    • SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers)
    • ESDU (Engineering Science Data Unit)

  • Referentials for the selection of Parts to be included in the Engineer's designs such:
    • Electronics Components
    • Fasteners
    • General parts
    • Specialised parts for Weapon Systems

At INFORUM, IHS will also introduce the University Resource Center, a complete reference source for all academic professionals including students, lecturers, professors and graduates. Free on the World Wide Web www.ihsurc.com provides rapid, reliable and up-to-date bibliographic information on millions of documents from a single search box.

About the author

Eric LEBOEUF - Channel Sales Manager - Europe Eric joined IHS in January 2004 and is responsible for promoting IHS solutions in Europe and Africa. Prior to joining IHS, Eric worked for about 13 year as an Engineer in the Telecom and Defense occupying different positions from programmer to consultant.
