Abstract

Scopus™ is the world’s largest A&I database offering optimal navigation through more than 15,000 scientific journal titles, 535 Open Access journals, 750 conference proceedings, 600 trade publications, 200 million quality web sources and 12.7 million patents. In total 230 million references are included in Scopus.

Scopus covers the following subject areas:

  • Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics and Engineering – 4500 titles
  • Life and Health Sciences – 5900 titles (100% Medline coverage)
  • Social Sciences, Psychology and Economics – 2700 titles
  • Biological, Agricultural and Environmental Sciences – 2500 titles
  • General Sciences – 50 titles

About the author

Sandra Grijzenhout started working with Elsevier in 1993 and since the year 2000, she has been working in the Regional Sales Office. As a Sales Manager Databases, Sandra is responsible for Scopus, but also for the smaller and specialist abstract databases such as EMBASE.com and Engineering Village.
