Abstract
Volume of the multimedia content on the Internet is still growing. It is impossible to use of full text search for search in multimedia files, so it is needed to work with metadata. CESNET and Jyxo are developping search engine of multimedia data on the Internet that uses metadata harvested on the Internet. Article will present principles used by the search engine.
About the author
After graduation on University od West Bohemia act in CESNET. From year 2000 he is enganged in multimedia transfers in wide area IP networks and organisation of information about multimedia assets. Now, he is studying Information studies at Charles University.
