Abstract

Ex Libris systems offer XML APIs and they are working with RSS, SOAP, OpenURL, Shibboleth and with other new technologies. Verde is the youngest system in Ex Libris products family and libraries are using the system for effective management of e-resources subscribed in database centres.

In the first part of the lecture there will be presented how new technologies built into Ex Libris systems are used in libraries. The second part of the lecture will be dedicated to Verde presentation.

About the author

Jiří Pavlík was graduated at Czech Technical University in 2000 and recieved a degree in Computer Science. Since 1995 Jiří Pavlík is working at Charles University Computer Science Centre. There he works as a system integrator for library systems, fulltext technonology solutions, digitalization and multimedia systems. Since January 2006 he is a member of CESNET Shibboleth working group.
