Fulltext

Abstract:

In late 2006, Springer was the first major academic publisher to make its full book program available electronically as well as in print. The books were offered as individual titles and as packages of subject collections that allowed for considerable discout. In this talk Mr van Berckelaer will share the experiences of those librarians that were 'early adopters', discuss the current business models and address the challenges that await in the future.
