Abstract

In the past year there have been another purchases of Czech e-books in libraries. The Research Library of South Bohemia in Czech Budejovice was the first who launched e-books lending supplied by eReading.cz in the spring of 2014. At the beginning of 2015 there are 31 research and municipal public libraries in the Czech Republic and Slovakia offering eReading.cz e-loans as part of their services. In the lecture there will be presented annual experience with the service in the Research Library as well as inspirations from library e-books lending abroad particularly in France.

Author's professional CV

Zuzana Hajkova, a graduate of Charles University in Prague, Department of Library and Information Services, is working in The Research Library of South Bohemia in the Czech Budejovice since 1994 currently in the position of Deputy for library services. In 2014 Zuzana along with the Library director Ivo Kares took over Library of The Year prize in a category of Information Act for the e-books lending service infroduction as a library service.
