Paper describes digital libraries in the Czech Republic and its relevant
environment. Paper includes typology of digital libraries, their comparison, trends, tools and functions of present digital
libraries (also foreign ones). Part of the paper is focused on the most essential clauses in copyright law that have crucial
importance to electronic publishing. Second part of the lecture follows the digital library project CTE! (Czech Electronic Texts),
created by the authors of this paper. |

Mgr. Vítezslav Praks is a PhD. student of comparative literature in Charles university in Prague and he is PhD.
student of aesthetics in Masaryk´s university in Brno. He graduated Masaryk´s university in Brno (czech language and literature
and aesthetics). Currently he has been working in the Library of Ministry of Finance of the Czech Republic. |
