Abstract:

Evidence of publication activities is one of the closed watched parameter of universities processes. This activity declaration has its feedback not only in field of accreditation, grants evaluations and projects but there is a constant growth of its influence on the university budget. The idea of realization CRPA came up from the need of effective automation of background papers delivery for public universities evaluation and consequently verification and presentation of these papers to grants agencies, authors, specialists and general public.

As the first step, the exchange data format among universities information systems and the central registers was defined. The CRPA portal was set up and data from all 20 involved universities were imported for the needs of budget creation.

All data in one database enabled to apply checking procedures and present problems of received data with the goal to detect duplicates or other discrepancies. Based on reported problems, after corrections in local information systems, the repeat data import for year 2007 successfully passed in these days. Another innovations will occur in CRPA project in the upcoming time especially: primarily data import for 2008, expanding the verification procedures not only to universities but years as well. The project is executed by Ministry of education of the Slovak republic and implemented by implementation team consisting of Constantine the Philosopher university in Nitra, University of Žilina and the SVOP company.
