Dr. Péter Jacsó is a professor at the Library and Information Science Program at the University of Hawaii. His research area includes such topics as citation analysis and the impact factor of scholarly journals, database quality, information retrieval software, open access databases, content and software evaluation of scholarly digital archives and digital reference sources. Conference opening keynote speech: Into the User Environment Now! How Users Have Changed and How We Can Adjust

Guus van den Brekel is the Coordinator Electronic Services of the Central Medical Library of a large academic teaching hospital in the University Medical Center Groningen (UMCG). He is a Medical Information Specialist as well as IT coordinator and responsible for Library Services Development and Innovation. He has been involved in developing and introducing the local Metalib system for the University Libraries (RUGCombine)), as well as SFX implementation (RUGLinks), the Electronic Reference Desk and the QuickSearch Library Toolbar. Peter Godwin is currently working as an Academic Librarian at the University of Bedfordshire in Luton, UK. His main focus is on Information Literacy in academic libraries and in particular the impact of Web 2.0 on Information Literacy in all information sectors.He is currently editing a book on this topic. He draws on many years' experience in academic library management and has presented at Conferences in the UK and USA.

Zinaida Manžuch

Conference paper in the session European Digital Library and Similar Projects Worldwide: Towards the European Digital Library: Management of Cultural Heritage in the National Libraries

Zinaida Manžuch works at the Institute of Library and Information Science at Vilnius University. She is actively involved in initiatives and research concerning digitization of cultural heritage. Since 2003 she has participated in many international projects including CALIMERA, TELMEMOR, DPE, LIS Education in Europe. Since 2006 she has been representing Lithuania in the National Representatives Group, which is an international network of governmental bodies and experts for co-ordination of digitization in Europe. She contributes to professional journals.
