Abstract:

Project 1N04186 of the Ministry of Education named “Multilicence for providing the continual access to the information sources in the field of nature sciences” has provided the information sources for R&D in universities and scientific institutions with consortium purchase of widely used databases for the period of  2004-2008.

Providing the information background is only an important presumption for R&D development. It does not say anything about the way how do the users use the electronic sources neither about the quantity of using them. For that it is necessary to intensify the user’s information literary. When we consider the university environment, the good quality scientific researches can also bring highly expert education and successful students who are taught to watch lifelong the scientific literature and use for studies, work and writing expert texts.

This text is about key tasks of the project and its results for the consortium. It also shows the results in graphical way and is focused closer to the situation in the Faculty of Sciences of the Charles University in Prague.
