									| Abstract: | A model of structured teaching was created at the Institute of Medical
Informatics of the 2nd Medical Faculty, Charles University. It is suitable as a methodological background for creation
of on-line teaching courses: The model is composed of 4 parts: 1. Presentation of theorethical knowledge – general
principles are described, accompanied with a specific example, maximum information is graphical. 2. Testing of acquired
knowledge – test, where students can review previous material. Only good knowledge of a given problem enables good
answer. 3. Presentation of a concrete practical example – interactive programs, schemes and automated calculation,
recognition of the result and feedback, internet sources etc. 4. Tasks for stand-alone practical work – practical test.
For the solution a good theoretical and practical knowledge is required.
The course was evaluated by students and well accepted from the most aspects. The work has been supported by the
investigative design No. J12/2000 of the 2nd Faculty of Medicine. |
