Vytváření institucionálního repozitáře literatury pro biomedicínu publikované italskými výzkumníky

Abstrakt

This paper aims at describing the creation of an institutional repository of scientific literature at the Istituto Superiore di Sanità (ISS), the leading body in biomedical research in Italy. This initiative is the core of a Project aimed at aggregating the scientific works published by Italian researchers in the field of public health and related areas, in the framework of a cooperation network between the biomedical research boards acting within the National Health Service. At this purpose, an open source software (DSpace), OAI compliant, has been implemented at ISS and uploaded firstly with data migrating from a bibliographic database collecting internal scientific works. Besides the archiving of publications produced by ISS as publisher, the repository will host data referred to scientific literature authored by partners institutions as Scientific Institutes for Research, Hospitalization and Health Care (Centro di Riferimento Oncologico, Aviano and Policlinico S. Matteo, Pavia). The authors are facing with the customization of Dublin Core metadata element set, also in the perspective of adopting other data sets to better identify the resources described in the repository. The goal is gaining access to scholarly publications within the framework of the open access environment and planning institutional repository services.

O autorovi

Elisabetta Poltronieri started her career in 1990 as indexing librarian at the library of the Istituto Superiore di Sanità (ISS), the Italian Institute of Health.Her present position is editor and she is currently working in the Publishing activities sector of the ISS.Her main area of interest concerns the bibliographic description and diffusion of scientific works published by ISS researchers. At present she is involved in a Project aimed at the building-up of an institutional repository in ISS within the principles of the Open access movement.
