Conference Venue and How to get there

INFORUM 2009 is held in Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic. Convenient air travel and rail links make Prague easily accessible for travelers from within the Czech Republic, Europe, and around the world.

The conference will take place at the University of Economics. Conference sessions will be held in Vencovsky Aula (former New Auditorium) and Auditorium D.

Travel to the university from the airport could be via taxi, or public transportation. One of the recommended taxi services is AAA Radiotaxi, phone number 14014. There is also a bus service to/from airport to/from metro station Dejvicka (bus lines no. 119, 254, fare: 20 CZK one way).

The nearest tram station to the University of Economics is Husinecká. Please use tram No. 9 (direction SPOJOVACÍ), 26 (direction NÁDRAŽÍ HOSTIVAŘ) or 5 (direction OLŠANSKÉ HŘBITOVY).

You can also use bus No. 135 which has a stop right on the Winston Churchill Square - via boarding it at either the FLORENC metro stop on metro lines B and C (the yellow and red lines) or from the ŽELIVSKÉHO metro stop on line A (the green line).

Updated Programme Information

A copy of the program, descriptions of each of the sessions and changes that occur after publication are available at the Programme website. The main conference programme is divided into topic-oriented sessions.

Simultaneous interpretation in English is provided.

Exhibition

Visitors to INFORUM conference will meet up to many exhibitors. The list of all exhibitors is presented at conference website.

Evening Party

All conference participants are invited to the party on Thursday 28 May evening. This is an opportunity to network with your colleagues in an informal atmosphere. It is necessary to take an invitation card with you.

Please note that for capacity reasons we kindly encourage you to register for this event as soon as possible.

We recommend that you use the Internet online registration facility. It is necessary to fill in your contact details, your company details and to select sessions, workshops and social events you would like to attend. Also check off lunches if you are interested.

The registration fee for participants covers name badge, admission to all registered conference sessions, admission to the exhibition, participant’s bag, lunch tickets (on the basis of online registration) and invitation card for evening party (on the basis of online registration). It is very important that you always wear your delegate badge during the conference.

Register and realize payment until April 6, 2009 for the Early Bird discount. If your registration form and/or payment are received after April 6, 2009, the late fee will be charged automatically.

Attendees are responsible for all of their conference and travel expenses. We are unable to provide any funding to subsidize registration costs or any other attendee expenses.

Methods of Payment

Every participant will receive a proforma invoice via e-mail immediately after the online registration, and an invoice after the payment is done.

The required method of payment is bank transfer. Any bank fees are responsibility of the customer (participant).

Please mind that we do not accept neither cheques nor payment in cash on arrival nor credit card payment on site.

Refunds and Cancellation Policy

In case the participation is cancelled in writing before April 30, 2009 the paid amount will be refunded less 25% cancellation fee. After the deadline has passed, no refunds will be issued. Refunds will be made after the conference. We are happy to accept replacement participants without any additional charges.

Registration Hours

There will be a registration desk set up at the University of Economics, which will work on Wednesday from 9.00, the other days from 8.00 until 17.00.

Meal Functions

Except group meal functions (in the University Dinning Hall) may participants have a lunch individually in the restaurant which is located in the same building as the Dinning Hall or in restaurants nearby.

Internet, Cloakroom

You can check your e-mail or surf the Internet at the SUN computers in the exhibit hall during the conference.

University of Economics provides WiFi (free wireless internet) to Inforum participants. Username and password on request by registration. Your laptop must be equipped with a WiFi card.

The cloakroom will be available for participants during the whole conference, every day from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m.

Accommodation

The INFORUM conference registration office does not provide for booking of accommodation and the delegates should arrange their accommodation themselves.

There are many hotels of various classes in Prague and the public transport is quite effective so please do not hesitate to arrange your accommodation according to your preferences.

Sightseeing Tours and Culture in Prague

Prague is one of the nicest cities in the world. The city offers to it’s visitors a lot of culture events and many historical places to see. You can explore Prague by foot with a map or use services of a Tourist Agency. We reccomend Prague Information Service www.pis.cz

Most popular sightseeings are Prague Castle, the Old Town and the Jewish Quarter, The Old-Town Hall with the Astronomical Clock (horologe), Lesser Town, Bethelem Chapel, Charles Bridge, Petrin Lookout and Labyrinth, Vysehrad. You can find basic info and pictures at www.pis.cz.

You can attend also theatres, cinemas, concerts and museums and galleries. For a programme look at www.pis.cz.
